      SF,

HDeck is a Via Technologies program. MFC is Microsoft Function Classes. It would seem that you have a VIA Chipset in your computer and their software is having a problem with the MFC version installed. Sorry I can’t be more specific.

HDeck is related to a component of your audio.
Go into msconfig and see if it is there in the start up list. Remove it.

The removal thereof should not adversly effect your computer’s sound.
If it does you will need to uninstall and then reinstall your audio driver and it’s supportive software.

Thanks gents…. I seem to recall following the second tip a few weeks ago and yes, as suggested, I did loss my sound and had to download the drivers again with help from the technician from my local computer shop who built the computer. Think I will just tollerate the slight inconvenience of having to delete the message every tiem I boot up. Thanks again S F.

Give us more specific details on the error report.
Look through event viewer and also expand upon the error popup itself…
