Having got away with a single user computer, I’m now setting one up for the whole family to use and I’m thinking of going with Thunderbird as my email client.

This may sound a stupid or simple question, but will Thunderbird pick up the fact that I have multiple logins in WinXP? Will each login be able to have separate email accounts attached to it? Will Thunderbird show each user only their own email messages? I guess the underlying question is, will my family be able to see and access my mail?

I did this for my parents and sister just a little while ago. I think it was Thunderbird 0.6.

YES … each windows login will have its own profile within Thunderbird. The mail files will be separate.
