I purchased a new PC with Vista, IE 7, and Norton Anti Virus. I have a Groupwise email account at work that can be accesed from the Internet. No problem with any other XP/IE7 PC in making the connection. All I get when I try to access from this new PC is a blank screen and it just shows a status of about 1/3 complete and it continues to run and run. I spent a couple of hours with Sony PC support an they were ot able to work it out. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have Windows Firewall turned off and am allowing popups as the login screen needs a new screen. I have also tried adding the site to the trusted site list.

      Carla,

Have you checked with any IT people at work to see if they have made this account compatible with Vista?

Are there any other people using Vista without problems, or you the only one?

        HI,

I have checked with other IT people at work and they have not had the same problem. There are three others using Vista/IE7 and Norton. None of the other three using Vista did anything special to access the email.

        Hi,

After yet another search of the Internet to try to find a solution I found a suggestion to go to Internet Options and in the Advanced tab uncheck Use TLS 1.0. This worked. I do not know what TLS 1.0 is so I will be doing a little more research, but I am glad to have found something what will work.

I’m glad you found a solution.

TLS stands for Transport Layer Security. It is a protocol to encrypt data that are transferred across internet. See Transport Layer Security on Wikipedia.
