Griffin PowerMate vs. Windows 7

I have a new Dell system with Windows 7 Pro (32-bit). Cannot get my Griffin PowerMate to work. Have tried both the 1.5.3 and 2.0.1 drivers. Their tech support was no help. So I am trying the “kindness of strangers” approach. Has anyone been able to get the PowerMate to work with Windows 7…?

Try running in compatibility mode for Vista.

Thanks for the suggestion. But no luck. (I tried by “Vista” and “XP SP2”.)
Was that general advice, or do you actually have a Griffin PowerMate?
