    hello
I’m sure this is very easy to do but I’ve had no success to date. I have a slide containing, inter alia, 3 action buttons. All I want is that a graphic flies in when a particular button is clicked.
    TIA

This is a bit counterintuitive, you have to specify it from the graphic, not the action button.

      – Set up the custom animation for the graphic.
      – The animation will appear in the list in the Custom Animation task pane.
      – Click the dropdown arrow or right-click the custom animation, then select Effect Options from the popup menu.
      – Activate the Timing tab.
      – Click on Triggers.
      – Select “Start effect on click of:”
      – Select your action button in the list of available clickable items.

See PowerPoint – animation for illustrated instructions.

I dont know if it is of any help but you can select a blank action button and set its hyperlink properties ‘other files’ and then point it toward the graphic when you press F5 only the button shows until you press it to invoke the hyperlink, immediate Cons are

      1. the graphic opens in it original size so it would have to be scaled before being hyperlinked
      2. You have to click the ‘X’ in the graphic to close it
      3. Only ever having used this on presentations within the office I do not know if it transports well (I guess you could store the graphics in a folder along with the PP and call it from there)
      4. The dreaded Hyperlinks are Dangerous dialoug which you can turn off on your own machine, but on external machines?

      Any how, hope that helps
