Hello loungers
Is there a method with VBA to return the type of grammatical error ?
I am particularly interested in classifying and counting the errors.

Currently I have only managed to extract the sentences that are flagged as containing a grammatical error.

As far as I can see, this is not exposed in VBA. The GrammaticalErrors collection contains the sentences that failed the grammar check, but it doesn’t hold any information about why they failed. The CheckGrammar method doesn’t provide this information either.

You confirmed my fears.
It seems that the grammar checking is pretty limited anyway. M/soft don’t make any great claims about it.
It appears to be useful to those who have a reasonable grasp of English grammar. It woold be next to hopeless for those in the early stages of learning English as a second language.
