    Hi all,

I am working off of another slide show and adjusting it to my needs. It is animated and each slide progresses automatically from one to another. It works fine and looks great. All I do is take each photo and text and change them according to the needs of the new PowerPoint show I am created.

However, whenever I insert a new slide, I have a problem. When I play the show, it does not automatically progress to the new slide. I set each animated section so that it is set to “Start After Previous” in the Custom Animation menu on the right (as opposed to “Start On Click”) but that still doesn’t work. I have to keep on clicking whenever I want the show to progress.

I have this problem only when I insert new slides. The slides that were already in the show progress normally.

    Anyone know the problem?

    Thank you.

    JMT

Advancing to a slide is not animation, but transition.
      – Select the slide(s) you want to apply it to.
      – Select Slide Shpw | Slide Transition
      – In the task pane, under Advance Slide, click the “Automatically after” check box and specify a time.

Thanks Hans! This immediately resoloved the problem as usual. I haven’t had a chance to look at the other posts . . . this slide show has been consuming a good deal of time. But I will do so momentarily.
