Gmail messages unaccountably will not “forward”

For many years without a hitch I have used Gmail’s “forwarding” setting to be able to see incoming messages in my other (non-Gmail) inbox. (This is not forwarding in the usual sense; the messages simply appear, as sent, in my other inbox.) Yesterday I noticed in Gmail’s spam section about a dozen messages that are not spam; I wanted to see them in my other inbox, so I marked them “not spam.” However, these messages do not appear in my other inbox. Why not? Undoubtedly I could find them in Gmail’s inbox, but tracking them down would be too time-consuming. What can I do?

Odin13: I have not noticed this, so thanks for letting people know you are having this problem. Given that, it may not be bad idea to check if this is happening also in one’s case.

Are you auto-forwarding via a rule? If so I would expect spam detection to take precedence and effectively block the auto forward.

Can you manually run the auto forward rule?
