I have one of my email addresses set up to route via Gmail as per this method. But Gmail stopped ‘pulling’ my mail from the ISP’s mail box on Feb 8. I have been able to go in and manually tell it to get the email. Gmail retrieved 2 lots of 200 email, but has left more sitting there and the button to ‘retrieve’ is no longer there.

I am assuming that it will reappear later, sometime.

Is anyone else having this trouble? And what have you done about it?

And a related thing: Other people I know are experiencing severe server slowdowns in email delivery with reports of ‘significant’ increases in spam hitting their servers.

Are these two things related, and does anyone know anything more?

I left this for most of the day to contemplate what may be happening with that email address (and earn some real money) and have come back to it and find that it is all ‘normal’ and seems to be working fine.

At some stage during the day, the remaining emails were ‘pulled’ from gmail and sorted into deliverable and rubbish and the process has happened at least 5 times more since then. (It would appear that Gmail retrieves the email every twenty minutes or so.)

      confused
