Google’s web transport protocol, known as SPDY, can now be used in Firefox 11. While it’s not enabled by default, the system can offer dramatically increased browsing performance.
Simply type in url addy, about:config then in the search box.Type in;network.http.spdy.enabled set this to true.

Or if you use Configuration Mania just check the box to activate SPDY.

YES, it really does improve browsing ….Steve Gibson talked about this on TWIT show #345 explains how to activate…Also, 3rd session only cookies.
In add ons turn on the lightening bolt for spdy it will show sites that use the protocol….Apparently, the Lounge doesn’t yet?

Not many web sites use SPDY. Only found Google Gmail to show the lightening bolt so far.
