…Download the “Windows 11 Installation Assistant” here by clicking on the Download Now button from the Microsoft.

Navigate to where you saved the Windows11InstallationAssistant.exe and run the tool.

Click the Accept and install button to begin the installation.
You may be required to run the PC Health Check app if you have never used it before on that PC. Download the PC Health Check app here, run it and confirm Windows 11 compatibility, then click Refresh in the “Windows 11 Installation Assistant” which should then allow you to click on Accept and install to begin upgrading to Windows 11 22H2.

Click the Restart now button to complete the upgrade. If you don’t do anything, or you are away from the device, it will restart automatically after counting down 30 minutes…

I just purchased a new Dell XPS 8950 desktop computer with the Intel Core i7 12700 processor and a 512 Gb SSD and the Windows 11 Pro 22H2 OS, and it took the October 22H2 cumulative update soon after I went through the setup process.  This is my first experience with Windows 11 and I don’t like it any more than Windows 10 at all; I still vastly prefer Windows 7 x64 sp1. I want menus that pop up from the Taskbar. I don’t want to have to use the search option to find where I want to go in the file system or leaf through layers of pages of settings options. Tedious and a waste of my time.

Sorry, I don’t understand either the purpose nor the motivation for your comment.

If you want menus as they were in Windows 7 then try Stardock Start 11.  I don’t like the Windows 10 or 11 menus and use Start 11 to return them to those I prefer.  Almost everything else can be configured to suit individual preferences.
