    Good afternoon

One of our Directors has asked me if I can remove still pictures from a CD that have been made into a Nero movie. Apparently this is the wedding photos of his daughter who has lost the prints in a fire and the photo company went pop about 5 or 6 years ago. He thought it would be a good idea to get a new album made for her.

I am useless with graphic packages and told him so but added that somebody here may be able to give some advice.

Try How to capture and extract still images from video[/url]…

If its a slideshow video of images on the CD always put the CD in a computer and explore the CD for a folder that contains a set of the original photos that were used in the video. If its there, problem solved, if not, then you’ll have to go through the extraction or snapshot process, which won’t be too good for quality but it will be something at least.

Many media players (VLC, GOM, KMPlayer) can be used to take snapshots automatically or manually and save them automatically to a hard drive for further processing after capture.

      Hi Leif and Byron

Leif: Thank you for the link, I am sure that I will find this very useful for some of my own projects but this partcular disc will not play within it (it does when inserted on its own).

If I open the CD in ‘My Computer’ it shows 2 folders but there is nothing in them when you open them. I guess they are passworded so I will not mess around with that as they will be passworded for good reason.

Thanks as usual for the good advice.

      Cheers
