We have Power point files (ppt) available through Microsoft’s Sharepoint product and when we access them through our knowledge management tool, Knova, they open in full screen mode. Does anyone know what might be going on and if there is a function key or key combination to drop out of full screen mode?

The minus 30 degree wind chill has slowed down my thinking today.

Do you mean that they open in slide-show mode, or do you mean that the PowerPoint window is maximized?

From our Knova product’s knowledge articles the Sharepoint links to ppts open full screen and sit there. Pressing F5 doesn’t start an auto presentation but you can click on the display and it moves through one screen at each click. Does that help or just muddle?

        Thanks,

As far as I know this is a user-level setting, not a SharePoint setting. You’d have to clear the check box “Browse in same window” in the advenced properties of the .ppt (or .pps) extension. If you’re using Vista, you’d have to edit the registry I think.
