    hiya one and all!

i am back for some information and help!!! i think that i have finally gotten outlook 2000 set up the way that it should be. there’s only one thing bothering me. how do i get it to let me choose who i want the outgoing mail to be from, and how to get it to reflect that? i have been using outlook express for a very long time, and am used to being able to click next to the From: line and choose who i want the mail to be from (myself or my husband). no problem. i have two accounts set up with outlook, and i don’t seem to be able to do this. as a matter of fact, i have no idea which account i am sending the mail from, other than i know which one i have set as the default (if i am lucky and remember). is there some way to set it up to allow me to toggle back and forth between the accounts, the same as in outlook express, or do i have to change the default every time i use it? sometimes i want to send mail out from me and others i want to use our business account. i am completely lost here, and am looking for any help that you can send my way. i hope that i have made myself clear. if not, please let me know and i will try to clarify myself. on that note, i thank you all for any help that you send my way. until the next time, take care and God bless.

    smiles-
    ladyleadfoot!!!

Outlook 2000 has two “modes,” Internet Mail Only (IMO) and Corporate/Workgroup (CW). Your mode is listed in Help>About after the version number.

If you intially choose (or later convert to) IMO mode, and have more than one account set up, I’ve read that your Send button will have a drop-down and you can choose the account to send from when you are ready to send. Does this sound right for your set-up?

While in the “Compose” mode, look for the “Accounts” drop down list to the right of the “Send button”

          Dave,
I do not see the “Accounts” button in my copy of OL 2000. I am in IMO mode. No accounts button and no “Down Arrow” in the “Send” button either. Only way I can figure to send from multiple accounts is through the “Options” Send using. Do you know of a switch or toolbar setting that might be hiding my “Account” button in OL2000? THanks

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
