Pit bulls are stubborn, but on occasion they should just forget it. This one didn’t quit until the porcupine left him with 1,347 reminders. The dog survived. The porcupine? Prematurely bald.

BTW My only connection with this poor animal is that I came across the pictures.

That reminds me of when we had a dog, Yeller, that had a very bad habit of tangling with porcupines. Never had an encounter as bad as this one. Although, if you took all his encounters and summed them it would probably come close. He never learned to leave them alone which lead to at least one trip to the Vet every year to have the quills removed. He came close to losing a eye once in a really bad encounter.

By the looks of this one I’d say it was extremely lucky to be still alive.

Living up in Vermont our dogs encountered them as well. With them they seemed to learn their lesson after only one such meeting.
