      BE WARNED!

Tracey includes OlderGreeks’ Spydish in her list of best utilities.

I tried the utility and learned that it goes beyond just changing Windows 10’s privacy settings. If used incorrectly it will permanently disable (remove) and make it impossible to recover things like sticky notes and HP’s Windows Support Assistant.  And who knows what else?

After spending hours trying to recover my Windows 10 system and then trying to reinstall the lost items, I had to use Acronis to recover the last full backup of my system.

I spent hours trying to recover from my use of Spydish.

Hi Kathy, Glad you recovered eventually.

Please see https://www.askwoody.com/about/ to meet the AskWoody team. Mr. Capen uses his account to open comments sections for each article after publishing the newsletter. That is why his name appears as the OP on Deanna’s article.
        Hope this clears some confusion.

Safe StartUp is no longer available (although, unless it is another Deanna, I think she is already aware of this!). The OlderGeeks page has the following message on it:-
      “Safe Startup v4.16

      Attention AskWoody readers and others:
<span style=”color: black; font-size: large;”>PrivacyRoot, S.R.O. has removed the ability of this download installer to function and they have killed-off the program entirely. Bummer! Look under the category of “System Information and Monitoring” for similar programs.

      Sorry 🙁
      -Deanna”
