      Hi, Bob!

Welcome to the Lounge. I found Freemake Video Converter about a week ago while looking for a free app that would allow some simple video editing. I have tried both the stable version and the beta, but neither would allow me to see the videos that I wanted to clip in the viewer. I can hear the audio but cannot see the video playing, which is necessary to choose the points to start and end the clipped portion. I sent an e-mail to their support, and have received back two replies, but the problem has not been fixed. I have since found two programs that have better options for editing, and both are working fine for me. I am, however, still interested in Freemake Video Converter, as it seems like it would be very useful for those that are wanting a converter that is very simple to use, and can clip videos. So I’m going to wait and see if their support can get it working for me; there are several friends that would find it useful. If all you’re wanting is a free program to convert video to other formats, there are a number of decent ones available. Format Factory is very good. 🙂

      Bob,
Hello… I have not worked with that one …I have tried many others (free ones) The best of the lot for me was Clone2Go Free Converter It all depends on what exactly that your trying to convert from. (and to), and what “burner” you have… Some will only accept certain formats.. Regards Fred
