Free PDF to Word Doc Converter is a desktop document conversion tool to convert Adobe PDF to MS Word file. The program can extract text, images, shapes from PDF file to Doc file and preserve the layout. It can convert all the pages, or any part of the PDF file. It is a standalone program, you can convert PDF to Word Doc without Adobe Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Word installed.

It can convert Adobe PDF 1.0 – 1.6, and is compatible with Windows 98/2000/NT/2003/XP/Vista

You might want to make room for Tomahawk PDF+ Freeware Version too. This has some powerful features and is portable, but went to $ware for a time… now back to ware status.

Why don’t you post up a list of what tools you have collected? I and others could add our to the thread and we’ll end up with a comprehensive listing of freebie PDF tools?

Excellent find!! I found one limitation, though. On my system, at least, it does not want to convert a PDF that has spaces in the file name. Renaming the PDF to remove the spaces is a simple work around.

I initially had problems with it as the free registration code did not work for me. After failing in my attempt to obtain a free registration code, I deleted the application and D/L again then installed. I must have D/L the wrong program initially as it works well now. This is so much better that what I had previously used – an app that converted PDFs to txt files where each PDF page was an individual txt file. It was bad but better than nothing.
