I am trying to create a database with a form – ASP installed on IIS.

nearly creates but tells me cannot find matching column headings please select (there is nothing in the drop down). So does not complete the creation process!!

Works well using PWS on my own pc.I am using the web on my server (eg http://server1/fedup/)so I know this is not problem! In the insert menu Database option is accessible. So that is not the problem!! any ideas anyone please?

The error seems to be saying that the field names in a query do not match the field names in the database. Does that make any sense?

Since there are no field names in the drop down, perhaps the database connection is not entirely successful. What kind of database connection are you using – System DSN on the server?

THe server has SQl 7, IIS4 (with all the bits!) and Office 2000 loaded, plus Microsoft Exchange (I am a trainer and we use this for outlook courses – the IIS has been installed as I need to move my training from courses using Personal Web Server to a proper server).

I don’t know the answer to you question – is the above enough? If not I will try to extract the information from the person who is helping me set this up and get back to you

Thanks for taking an interest and trying to help.

        Cheers

One place to start examining your database connection is under Tools|Web Settings…|Database tab:
