I have used Foxit Reader for a number of years. I have one document (automobile maintenance log) where I append new pages from my scanner after every service appointment. About three years ago, the “append from scanner” option was removed from Foxit Reader, and I had to keep my vehicle logs in MS Word. Then a couple of years ago, the scanning feature came back and worked fine up until the last update. Once again I need to come up with some arrangement to keep my vehicle records current. Alt+i+p+s doesn’t seem to work with Office 2016, besides, Word scans tended to be somewhat weird and didn’t allow for text searches. Before I retired I used Adobe Acrobat at the office, but I am unwilling to pay that much for a feature that I only rarely use. If anyone can show me how to get the scanner feature enabled in Foxit Reader, or can recommend a pdf program that can handle scanning additional pages into an existing file, I would appreciate it.
