Outlook 2000, corporate or workgroup, Office 2000 – sp 1.
I recently received an e-mail with 20 vCards attached. I dragged the vCards one at a time to Contacts, assigned categories and saved the contact. The first four worked just fine. The fifth attempt locked me up completely in Outlook. Had to End Task to get out. Once out of Outlook, I went back in, started with contact #5, dragged it successfully – also #6, #7, #8 – and locked up again on #9 (the fifth one in that batch). Again had to end task, etc.

Has this happened to anyone else? It happened to me a couple more times before I successfully saved all of the vCards to contacts. Is there a resolution? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks –

I don’t think that you need to drag vCards to Contacts to save them.

Have a look at this MS Knowledgebase Tip.

Thank you, John. In future I’ll use the double-click/save and close method. I guess I’m still wondering if it’s a programming issue or what, but it probably doesn’t make any difference as long as it works.
