Is it possible to delete the name assigned to a ComboBox which is located in “NameBox” (directly above Column A? I recently renamed a ComboBox and need to delete the old reference. Example: Drop Down 2 was changed to Drop Down 3.

Note!-Drop Down 3 was not inserted as a form

Not much to go on but…
Are you sure you didn’t create a brand new drop-down thats stacked right on top of
      the old drop down?

If you delete the ComboBox, the name goes with it.

If you need to rename the combobox, just type the new name in the NameBox whilst the Combo box is selected. This should remove the old name.

        Andrew,
Did you get my e-mail from yesterday?

If I save the file, exit XL completely and open the file again there seems to be an internal resetting of the names associated with new ly created combo boxes. Thus incrementing them in the correct order.

        Thanks to all who responded,
