Any idea what to do when you can’t remember your Identity Password?

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 21, 2003 at 12:53 pm #646777The ISP has nothing to do with it. My ISP allows me to change the POP3 password at will. The OE6 Identity password must be held somewhere in the Win96SE registry. Uninstalling and reinstalling OE6 doesn’t work. If I were to format the HDD and reinstall OE6 that would work but I’m not prepared to go that far.

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 21, 2003 at 6:30 pm #646824I see, I’m sorry, it pays not to assume everyone gets their emails the same way as me. To get my email’s with OE pop3, I need my ISP password to log on. I can change my password at will too but I need to log on to my ISP server to do this. When I’m away from home I usually read my emails on my ISP server.
Good luck in finding your password. Chances are it is somewhere on your system.
Cheers, Darny

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 21, 2003 at 9:05 pm #646863I think you may have to end up messing with the Registry, deleting the Indenty & re-add it. Go to the link below, everything you want to know about OE. Sorry I could not be more helpful.
