• Footers on Landscape Page (Word2000)

I am inserting data from an Excel worksheet into the middle of my Word document. The Excel data needs to print out landscape (I have created page breaks and changed the page orientation) but the rest of the document needs to print out portrait. My problem is with the page footers. The document will be bound with a portrait orientation. Unfortunatly I do not have MS Binder, is there a way to have the footer with the automatic page numbering appear on what would be the side of the landscape page?

What if you were to skip the footer on the landscape pages, and use a table on the side of the page? In tables you can rotate the text, so it could match the other footers. Then you could use the Insert/Field menu to insert the page number field into the table.

You could include the Excel spreadsheet as a picture (copy & paste special) and rotate the picture

You will find a number of suggestions in How to put a portrait page number on a landscape page on the MVPS site.

My personal choice is to use a text box containing a table, anchored in the Landscape header but positioned in the correct place on the page for a Portrait header.
