I do not use Publisher at all, but a friend for whom I generally consult on Access is having this problem:
She has created a calendar in Publisher.
All her entries are in 10 point normal font.
Suddenly one day, two of the entries were 12 point italic. All her efforts to change it back to 10 point failed – she could change it, but it would not save it.
I changed them for her and saved it (nothing special – just changed them and hit control S). But three days later, they suddenly reverted to 12 point italic again.
We could change them and save them, but when we reopen the file, they are 12 point italic again!
We ran a Norton virus scan on the computer (apparently no viruses), and also ran the Windows defragmenter, but nothing is helping. Any ideas?

    thanks,

      Cynthia,

I think your friend has AutoFit Text/Best Fit switched on. Click inside the text frame. Then go to the Format Menu — AutoFit Text and see if Best Fit is highlighted. I’m guessing that clicking None will solve the problem.

      Hope this helps.
