What file format does FocusWriter save its documents in?  Can you open and edit your documents in any other software?

I downloaded FocusWriter some time ago to try but haven’t used it much.

The saved files type is *.odt but can also be opened in WordPad and therefore should at least be compatible with other MS file types.
