I am using Front Page to create a website for someone and they want to have the flyout menus. The ones where when you hover over the menu item, the sub menus show. (They want to use Front Page so that they can maintain the site in the future, and that’s what they have with Office.)

Can someone point me to a “How To … ” site for this in Front Page?

    Thanks,

    Johanna

You will get a variety of different opinions on this, but the bottom line is: it is important to find a solution that works in as many different browsers as possible, and in case the visitor has scripting disabled, please provide some alternative method of navigation.

That said, you can find free menu solutions on a variety of sites. One commonly used site is Dynamic Drive. The newer scripts should be up-to-date with current browsers. If you don’t want to edit variables in a script, you could try the CoffeeCup Free DHTML Menu Builder. If you’re willing to give the company a plug somewhere on your pages, Milonic, an apparently widely used script, is free. And for pay, there are zillions of options. grin

        Thank you.

I had forgotten about how good some of the software from Coffee Cup was (its been a while since I looked there). I’ll try their offering.
