Flash Player not working on Win 7 64 bit

I keep getting request to install Flash Player 10. Install seems to complete correctly, but still requests an update. I used Adobe FP cleaner and revo uninstaller, then retried installing FP 10. Even tried installing FP V9. Same problem. Since I have win 7 with 64bit processor I tried adobe’s beta 64 bit FP named “Square” still same problem.

Which browser are you using. Flash is used by the browser to display content, not specifically by Win 7 whether 32 Bit or 64 Bit. You will have by default both a 32 Bit copy of IE and a 64 Bit copy of IE installed (Start Orb, All Programs, see both IE browsers). Adobe flash has both32 Bitand 64 Bit betaversions as well. If you use the 32 Bit IE, it will use the 32 Bit Flash, and so forth. Perhaps this is where your problem is coming from.

Try using Chrome as your browser. Chrome has built-in Flash, no need to download separate Flash updates when using up to date Chrome.

Perhaps the Flash add-on(s) are disabled within the browser for security reasons? Check in the browser options. An add-on like AdBlock will do this by default for Mozilla-based browsers and some others.

Maybe you’ve already installed a security app. that has disabled Flash system wide? For example, SpywareBlaster has the ability to do that.

Here is what I had to do: Post #12 Adobe Flash won’t install on IE8 32bit Ted is correct when he says you use 32bit flash for the 32bit browsers, and 64bit for the 64bit browsers.

Both sites; Filhippo, and Zeporama worked very well.
