I have no idea if it works or not, but there’s a new patch coming down the Automatic Update chute for Win7, 8.1, and apparently Win10 1511 and 1607. S

Apparently the patch is only installed on systems where Windows Update determines that it’s needed.

The issue also occurs on Windows Vista SP2 and Windows 10 RTM (v1507) as well and there are also KB4016754 patches for Vista & Win10 v1507.
