Fit to scale (Excel 2k)

I have a document that I am using as a tally sheet. I have 23 rows and I want them to adjust to their greatest possible height to fit on legal size paper. I’ve tried the “fit to” and adjusting the scaling %, and increasing the row height globally, but I keep getting the same result. The actual grid is only printing on about 2/3 of the page. It is set to portrait, and my colums are fitting just perfectly.

Any help?

Strange. Adjusting the rowheight should enable you to increase the height of the rows and thus make them take more space on the sheet.

Have you tried deleting the “empty columns to the right and empty rows at bottom, resaving and reopening? Have you tried setting the “print Area”?
Many times excel will adjust based on things you don’t plan on printing and this could screw up the autofit.

What happens if you don’t autofit but just manually increase the print percentage?

The “fit to” and “adjust scaling” will often conflict. Also, it depends on what your number of columns is. If you have many columns then “fit to” will adjust for the columns, not the rows.
