• first column cover second column (97 sr2)

    My problem here is that the data in first column cover the second column if the second column cells are empty.(see the attachment). I want to be able to see all the empty cells in the second column.

      I only know of two ways to accomplish this:

      1- Make the first column wide enought for the longest data. Using Format/Column/Autofit Selection will do this.

      2- Put a single quote in all of the empty cells in the second column.

      Set column A to the desired width and format the cells in column A to alignment/wrap text. Your last entry is very long and using autofit column width will probably not give you a disired result. If you put ‘ in the empty cells in column B you will not be able to read the ends of the longer text entries in column B.
