I have been using ZoneAlarm Pro for several years and have disabled the Windows Firewall that came with SP2. However, I wonder if that’s a good idea. Windows says use only one firewall, i.e., the Windows one. Is that just the usual MS paranoia, or is it better to use more than one? Is ZoneAlarm compatible with Windows Firewall?

You should use only one firewall.

Similarly, you should use only one anti-virus program.

Contrarily, most of us use several anti-spyware programs, since no single program finds all spyware.
