Firehand Lightning Slideshow Replacement?

My hobby is photography and I frequently used Firehand Lightning software for generating self-running slideshows, e.g. LakeTahoe.exe. This software is no longer available and hasn’t been updated in years.

I liked it because you could easily attach an audio file to an individual slide while simultaneously running a slideshow background audio track. I tried doing this with PowerPoint and I couldn’t believe how stupid difficult this was!

Does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement program that would allow me to:
1. Create a “self-running” slideshow
2. Create a slideshow made up of both images and short video files
3. Easily attach individual audio files to slides while a slideshow soundtrack runs in the background
4. Create a slideshow as a .wmv file so I can burn it to DVD (using Nero) so it can be played in any DVD player
5. I don’t need the ability in this program to edit photos–I use Elements for that.

Have a look here for a rundown of features on some possible replacements. You would only want to consider the ones with 2 or more audio track capability.
