I have several outdated autofill items hidden somewhere in Firefox. I changed ISP’s and setup new email addr’s etc. For example for some of the stuff I kept the same Username and changed the ISP portion of the email address. Old Username@xyz.com was set up for the new one the new one as Username@new.com — when I try to fill out a form with an email address, FF seems to put the oldest entries at the top of the selection list.

I also have various typos and errors that FF tries to use as I am filling out forms, The old stuff seems to be at the top of the selection lists

Is there anyway to track down where these items are stored and remove the invalid entries?

    Thanks

    Tom

Picking up on Peter’s lead, I was looking at that Privacy setting and noticed that, as he suggested, you can clear FORM data, but not selectively as I think you would (maybe) prefer. In the Profile directory on the hard drive, I believe that data is stored in the appropriately named FORMHISTORY.DAT file but when I look at it with a text editor, it’s obviously a binary encoded file that couldn’t be messed with. Time to go looking in their forum I guess…

If you open Preferences > Privacy you can clear all of your various caches including form info. If you just select Form filling you can clear it and start again, I think.
