How can I find out who the users are in an Access Database? I seem to rememer an old post containing instruction on how to see who currently has an access database open, but search hasn’t let me find it, not that I’m an expert with the search faciloity

I have the unusual situation of an unsecure database (one that does not have Access security implemented, anyone can open it if they have the network access) that is related to two others, we are currently finding out that if the ‘master’ database is open one of the other systems can not be updated with information, as we can’t remove the link it would be nice if we could easily find out who was in the ‘master’ database.

Try How to determine who is logged on to a database by using Microsoft Jet UserRoster in Access 2000 (works for Access 2002 and 2003 too, I don’t know about Access 2007).

It should work for Access 2007 as long as the database format is .MDB – but I wouldn’t expect it to work with the .ACCDB format, although I’ve not tried it.
