0patch Pro does a great job for a fraction of what Microsoft charges. In fact, 0patch often releases micro-patches for nasty zero day exploits before Microsoft does. I’m staying on Windows 7 Pro on my main workstation until 0patch gives up on it. ]

I managed to snag a retail copy of Windows 8 when it was available. With a free upgrade to Windows 8.1, and with Classic Shell, it looks and feels just like Windows 7. That retail license allows me to run it as a virtual machine, which is perfect for my needs.

      unless you’ve already purchased year 1 and 2, you’d have to purchase years 1, 2 AND 3

So, paying $420 for Microsoft’s ESU instead of $29 for 0Patch Pro.

Still running on W7 (ESU patched, non-official :D) and every time I turn my computer on, it works! No random changes I have to know about.

Really not missing anything in 10, (I use it for work). Shame that ESU is running out shortly.

reach out to Harbor computer services and purchase year 3 of the ESU (you can click here…

The “forms.office.com” link included in Susan’s blog post is apparently different than the “harborcomputerservices.us12.list-manage.com” link that Ted sent out via email, so just wanted to check…

Is it ok to use the link in the blog post to place an ESU order with the good folks at Harbor Computer Services? Thanks.

That’s the link from the email I got.  I’d use that.
