    I’m not familiar with this feature, and when I search for AutoFilter in Word’s help file, I get references to filtering HTML and email discussions. ???

      I noticed that sometimes when I use autofilter and select a item to filter by, that in the bottom left hand corner it would say 1 of 6 filtered. How do I get this to always turn on? Or stay on!

      Sorry I must have been asleep when posting – this question is suppose to be in Excel. Sorry Sorry

        Is this for Word or Excel? The status bar in Excel shows something like this but mine says 1 of 6 found. I don’t know how to get the status bar to always show this but it will come back anytime I click on any one of the autofilters to reapply that filter setting.

        You may have inadvertenly turned it off by clearing the status bar area ….
        You can try turning it back on via code.

        Application.StatusBar = False
