After i split a database, I tried the Filter by Form in one of my forms that is based on a query. Before the split, it used to fill up the drop down combo boxes, but now only offers the Is Null, Is Not Null options. The total number of records in the test mdb is 12, and the setting for the Tools | Options | List Display is 1000 records.

Is this a property of split mdbs? Or perhaps something else?

Had the same experience. Have yet to find a solution with split DB’s. You can still type in values in the filter by form text boxes and use wild cards. That’s what I’ve trained my users to do. One alternative is to build your own filter form. Otherwise, I’d love to know if there is a way to get the drop down lists to work with split DB’s.

Something else is going on. I have Access 2000 SR-2 on my machine and don’t have any trouble doing a filter by form on a linked table or a query based on a linked table.

Hmm… i would find it difficult to imagine that the vbe6.dll interference would be causing that. But stranger things have happened.
