• File extensions/layouts Win Explorer

    I have just started using Win ME, and notice that the file listings do not include the file extension. I feel uncomfortable with that, and would like to make a global change so that all of the listings show extensions. The same is true for the formats. I prefer the list layout to the icon layout. I can change this on a one by one basis, but that is a long process.

      Go to Windows Explorer (MY Computer), “Tools, Options”
      Select the “View tab” and clear the check mark next to “Hide file extensions for known types”
