Drag a file from an Explorer window to elsewhere, the file appears where you put it but the original Explorer window still shows the file; it requires F5 to refresh and update to show the file no longer in the original location. Same with Desktop (which is another Explorer window as I understand). Drag file from Desktop, it still shows until F5 refreshes screen. I’ve experienced this for some time, perhaps as long as Windows 10 has been around although I’m not certain. Has persisted through 2-3 reinstalls on separate machines. Is this something new in Windows 10? Is there a switch I failed to enable?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

In v2004:
Dragging a file from the Desktop to the right panel of Explorer into the Documents Folder – the file disappears from the Desktop.
