    Hey All,

Does anyone know how they get these grey fields that you can fill out on the attached document?

    Sincerely,

    JMT

Place you cursor where you want that to appear, then select the forms toolbar and click on “abl”

In addition to John’s reply: once you have added form fields to your document, you must protect it for forms before you can use the fields. The easiest way to do this is clicking the “Lock” button on the Forms toolbar.

      Hi JMT,

How ‘how they get these grey fields’ is via the Forms Toolbar. You can activate it via Tools|Customise|Toolbars|Forms.

The formfields that can be filled in are Text formfields, which correspond with the ‘abl’ button on the Forms Toolbar. There’s a few date fields as well.

The fields appear grey on screen courtesy of the ‘a’ button on the Forms Toolbar.

As you’ll be aware, the document is locked and you can only fill in the fields – you can’t change them or anything else. This is courtesy of the padlock button on the Forms Toolbar – but you set the password via Tools|Protect(Unprotect) > Password = ?.

      Cheers,
