How can I get a table of data (that I have made from a make table query), to have the columns auto fit to the size of the column heading or longest data in that column? Thanks.

Access isn’t really good at that. You can select one or more columns, then select Format | Column Width… and click Best Fit. But it will apply only to the currently visible records. There is no way to make it work for *all* records, and there is no way to have Access do it automatically.
But this shouldn’t be a problem, since end users should never work with tables or queries directly, but use forms instead.
