Look on the bright side PK, Woody and all, at least you don’t have to lose any sleep just now sweating over how to advise us on these patches!

      Thanks for the info.

And thanks for keeping things going around here in the face of adversity. I guess all the extra activity is down to the growing reputation of the whole team, but I can appreciate it’s not easy. However, as Duke Ellington used to say – “We love you madly!”

You recommend hiding KB4073543.   This update has been installed on my Win Version 1703.    Do you recommend uninstalling?   Thanks.

Amidst this carnage that MS has wrought, do they care at all about the effect on people like us? We are a small school with limited budget. We are still running our old PCs using Win 7. WE do plan to upgrade in September to Win 10 and get some new PCs, but several of our computers are now unusable! Even trying uninstalling patches etc, (takes loads of my time and there are other things to do), so does MS care that WE do not have vast funds  (Like them) to keep constantly upgrading (wish we did). Do they fancy even considering helping us out (Gates foundation – a few thousand quid would help, drop in the MS ocean).

Well a quick peek at the related KB articles show the Office 2010 Powerpoint-related fixes address slow launch speed on Win 10.

Now there is a scenario I will surely not have on my remaining Windows machines.

Getting a lot of reports of Skype for Business and Excel (Both 2016) crashing after applying these. Rolling back now.

I am seeing the entire Office 2016 suite crash now after applying the updates less than an hour ago. How do I roll back?

      Go into Windows Update
In the bottom left, click on “View installed updates”
      Uninstall the updates.
