I’m running in corporate/workgroup mode. From time to time, my hard drive comes alive like it is receiving e-mail and the envelope icon shows up in my system tray. However, when I look in my Inbox there is no new e-mail. I’ve checked my deleted items and junk e-mail folders to make sure none of the rules I have set up are moving the mail elsewhere. If I right-click on the Inbox and tell it to mark all mail as read the envelope icon will disappear. Am I missing mail here or is something else going on?

are you using netfolders or any thing like read reciepts or meeting requests? these all arrive as mail items and are autoprocessed and disappear when processed.

Yes I am using net folders for a shared contact list. However, that folder usually shows up with an “unread” contact. I find it throught the advanced find>show unread. When the envelope is showing up though, there are no “unread” contacts in the shared folder.
