Hello,

has anybody notice problem with latest one drive 17.3.6998.0830 under win 7 x64?

I notice large disk activity under status “actual”

in temp folder this build create many large files called aria-debug-2284.log

this log contains many entrances

uder build 17.3.6917.0607 I don’t notice any problems, but after install 17.3.6917.0607 onedrive force update 17.3.6998.0830

its any way to stop update? calnel task in schedule taks don’t work.

I see, I’m not alone with this problem

this bug kill netbook Atom CPU 1.6GHz resources.

Hello,

After update Onedrive to 17.3.6998.0830 under W7x64, I notice huge disk and CPU activity. Onedrive shown starus “actual’ but still doin something. Under “making something” Onedrive makes large files in temp folder called aria-debug-***.log, and use CPU in 25-30%

previous version don’t have this problem. how I can block update previous version onedrive to buggy 17.3.6998.0830

What utility do you get from the system integrated form of OneDrive?

If you didn’t have the magic online folder sync facilities, but could still share files manually through the web interface, would that be sufficient? (It’s what I do)

If so, there is a way to completely uninstall the OneDrive system integration aspects… I suspect it wouldn’t chew up your system resources if it wasn’t running at all.

WARNING: I don’t know if there are Apps or new Windows 10 functions that expect to use the OneDrive system integration aspects. I never use Apps myself and have NO use for automatic online file synchronization. My needs are only for the “legacy” desktop and Win32 applications (i.e. essentially pre-Win 10 tech).

Make a local backup of your OneDrive file system. (to USB or a spare drive.)

Disable or uninstall is not solution for me. I use it for sync data between few computers.

every one on slowing down, no metter what cpu is inside or disk. (Qx9300, I7, I3, Atom 1,6) most disk is HGHT 7K100 or SSD

But problem is not solved (CPU usage 40%, still mahe aria files (in one hour make 500MB log)

I have many computers most with W7x64 (B group)

Lenovo W700 Qx9300

Lenovo X120e E450

MSI GT683 i7-2630QM (Gaming laptop)

Acer AOD 270 ATOM 1.6 (over 12 hours on battery – this is reason) Windows 7×32 starter

and few more

main question is:

HOW BLOCK FORCE UPDATE?

I can block domain https://oneclient.sfx.ms but maybe some one know how block it in “civilization style?

Final solution for stop automatic updates for Onedrive, skype etc

create file.reg and paste following data

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
