    I was pretty young when The Prisoner was on, and didn’t understand half of it (if that), but it was groundbreaking. Must see if the series is out on DVD.

      [/indent]If you find it, post back. I would probably buy a copy/set. I was always a big fan of Patrick McGoohan when I could see his stuff on US television. Good guy and a sad loss. With his distictive voice I always thought he was a native born Brit. I didn’t realize he was born in this country.

      Actually I preferred Danger Man (and that shows my age!)

      RIP to a great actor.

      There’s a fairly good coverage of the series/ story here: The Prisoner – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. It still has quite a cult following, and the history of the Welsh resort village Portmeirion in which it was filmed is quite a story in itself.
