External drive not seen (Pro, SP2)

I have just added an external USB drive and Windows Explorer doesn’t seem able to see it too well. It’s drive g: and if I enter g; on the address bar Explorer will find it and it will appear in the Folders window. But if I close Explorer it will be gone the next time I start it. It’s visible everywhere else (command window, disk manager, etc). Any idea what might be causing this?

Hi Andrew

Try running Tweak UI. The My Computer>Drives section allows you to specify what drives Explorer will display if the drive exists.
