Exporting to Snapshot Format

I have any A3 sized report which I print on an HP A3 inkjet printer.
Having recently found the ‘Export as Snapshot Format *.snp’ I was at first very excited, then bitterly dissapointed.
The snapshot file previews fine in the snapshot viewer, yet when I try to print (on the A3 plus numnerous other laser printers an an A1 plotter) the report is badly distorted – printing to the same A3 printer on which the report is previewed and printed produces a completely different sized document!!!
Does anyone else have any idea why this is so.
