exporting to excel (2003)

I have a check box in my database. When I export to excel, nothing appears in that field. How can I get either a check to appear or yes, no to appear in excel?

If the check box represents a Yes/No field in a table or query, it should be exported to TRUE/FALSE values in the Excel worksheet.
If the check box is on a report, it won’t be exported. You’d have to change the check box to a text box in order to include it in the export.
