I am using Windows Live Mail/Outlook.com and was trying to figure out a way to export specific contacts. I was thinking I could just export all the people in a group, or as Live Mail calls it, category. I don’t see a way to do that. I did try exporting contacts as a CSV file, thinking I could sort the output by categories but it doesn’t export that information. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do that? I want to create a contact list that I can share with others. Thx.

You can export as “business card”, which will export all of your contacts individually, or as .CSV, which will put all your contacts on a single Excel sheet.
But you can’t export in categories.

I discovered that I can export notes. I think what I will do is add my category name to notes, then export as CSV and sort by notes. This should bring all of my desired contacts together and then I can just delete all the rest.

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
